I am a Case manager for Inland Regional Center. I reached out to EDL after researching options as a means of obtaining financial assistance in hard times for my clients. All of the clients that we work with at the Inland Regional Center have disabilities that limit them in their independence. We work with them to help them lead better and more healthy lifestyles. If a member is not as stressed financially, it helps their all over health and attitude. My client was extremely stressed when he realized that all his money was going to rent, telephone/internet connection, car insurance, and food. His food money would not last through the end of the month and was an ongoing stressor for him. My member has multiple medical diagnoses and is on multiple medications. My client is unable to leave his bed without assistance to get into his electric wheelchair, and even then he needs help to do many things that most people take for granted, including dressing, grooming, preparing and cooking foods, and so on. I reached out to Mr. Pino at EDL and am pleased to say this wonderful organization offered their help. I am forever grateful for your kind deed and in the future will try to donate to this cause. it is nice to know that there are caring organizations like these that are willing to help those in great need.
