If you need help paying a portion of your home heating bills, this program might be available to you. However, household income limits to apply under the Wisconsin Home Energy Assistance Program (WHEAP). State median income of 60% over a three month period is used to qualify for this program. Another program offered for Wisconsin residents is called “crisis assistance.” This program helps individuals who have no heat, received a disconnect notice, or have no fuel for heat and no way to buy it.
