Sleep is vital at any age. However as we age it is increasingly important to get proper sleep. Sleep safety is often times overlooked. Following some of these recommendations may help you or a loved one sleep better and ease your mind. Tips: black out curtains, eye masks, white noise, ear plugs, light therapy. Of course mattresses designed specifically for seniors are a great way to go. In addition technology can help you or a loved on sleep better. Smart locks are a good choice. Lock your doors from an app on your phone or lock up a loved ones house. Caregivers can monitor the status of the locks and responsibility for locking up can be delegated to others. As always we recommend a medical alert system. They are very simple to use. Most can be activated with a touch of a button. Medical alert systems are great in emergency's, they are affordable, and they are a great GPS location device.
