My first thought upon being chosen by EDL for assistance was to say “if you demonstrate kindness you will always be between a hug and a smile-not between a rock and a hard place.” I am so incredibly humbled in being chosen to receive this assistance. There are so many people in need, but I know that if we reach out and take a stand even when we feel like we can’t walk – can’t move- can’t take all of the pain – that someone will be there to reach back. I try to never let my obstacles stand in my way but to find a way to stand in the way of them!! EDL and the person who created this organization have shown me that we need to spread kindness; for all of us are fighting our own battles. Thank you for this enormous gift of the heart….Elderly or Disabled Living member
