The City of Cranston was awarded a community development grant from the U.S. 
Department of Housing and Urban Development. This grant helps first time home buyers with down payment, closing costs, and much more. In addition this grant is specifically focused on helping low income individuals obtain housing. The program will have funds through 2017.
