The Rhode Island Good Neighbor Energy Fund (RIGNF) was established to help 
individuals in a financial crisis. To receive help certain guidelines and restrictions must be met. For instance to qualify for RIGNF assistance a person cannot be income eligible for the Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP). A person cannot receive assistance in any way from the LIHEAP. The highest grant amount allowed for utilities is $450. If you would like to apply please contact the United Way 2-1-1 in Rhode Island call center by dialing 2-1-1.
