The North Carolina Share the Warmth program is offered by Duke Energy. This program was established in 1985 to help lower income families pay their utility bill. During the winter months in their service areas, Duke Energy will help individuals and families pay their utility bill. The funds to help clients come from customers, employees and the Duke Energy Foundation. In addition Duke Energy matches the first $500,000 given to the fund. On October 2016, Duke Energy acquired Piedmont Natural Gas. However this program is still active. For more information please call 800.777.9898 to find the right location for you.
