Nebraska Investment Finance Authority (NIFA)

The NIFA program offers down payment assistance and closing cost help to first time home buyers.  A first time home buyer is defined as someone who has not owned a home in the past 3 years. However certain conditions may apply for your situation. For instance a divorce may have occurred or you might have been relocated for a job. If these any of these exceptions occurred, you may qualify as a first time home buyer. If so, you can receive down payment assistance and closing cost help. Other conditions may apply.
