All my life it has been hard to find true help. I have applied to so many places over the years and have been denied by most of them too. There is always some excuse for “why” they can’t help me. I realize Elderly or Disabled Living can’t help everyone, but I am fortunate they could help me. Thank you and God bless.

” Thank you so much for your kindness in giving to those in need. My wife and I do OK for the most part but added and unexpected expenditures seem to pop up more and more in our retirement. I am on a fixed income with Social Security and since retiring, cost of living has risen considerably, leaving us with just enough to scrape by. God has promised to meet our needs and you are truly a blessing from the Lord. We try to help others and some way somehow the blessings are returned. Thanks again for the help provided by Elderly or Disabled Living Thanks.”

I was very fortunate to come across your website and be given hope that maybe enough prayers would be able to get some assistance from overwhelming bills. I can not tell you how much I appreciate your help and really feel blessed to have found you. It seemed like there would be no way to go forward on our vehicle needs and a new bed before back surgery. Thank you so very much for helping to make it possible. I will pray for EDL to be blessed this coming year to help others in the same situation. May you all have a Blessed Holiday Season and be able to enjoy your loved ones.

My name is Patricia C. Just when a feeling of hopelessness engulfed me, I received a message from James Pino with EDL offering me financial help. This was truly an answer to my prayers and I can’t begin to express my gratitude. I am 67 and my husband is 71, we are retired and our only income is Social Security. It is a daily struggle just trying to make ends meet. Bills keep piling up and some go unpaid. We are also raising an 8 year old grandson which makes for an even tighter budget. It is so good to know there are real people like you who want to help others and I want to thank everyone at EDL for your generosity.

My name is Kim. I would like to thank Mr. Pino and EDL for this blessing of help! It is so very difficult to get any assistance when one is older with no children. A hard thing to face when you have worked your entire life! Yet when you become sick, disabled & are in trouble there seems to be no help to be found! I recently moved out on my own – had to get out of a domestic violence situation – and getting back on my feet has been very difficult. So this help is truly a blessing much needed. Thank you so much for this assistance & for all those you have helped & those to come! I am more touched & grateful than words can express. Thank you from the bottom of my heart!

My first thought upon being chosen by EDL for assistance was to say “if you demonstrate kindness you will always be between a hug and a smile-not between a rock and a hard place.” I am so incredibly humbled in being chosen to receive this assistance. There are so many people in need, but I know that if we reach out and take a stand even when we feel like we can’t walk – can’t move- can’t take all of the pain – that someone will be there to reach back. I try to never let my obstacles stand in my way but to find a way to stand in the way of them!! EDL and the person who created this organization have shown me that we need to spread kindness; for all of us are fighting our own battles. Thank you for this enormous gift of the heart….EDL member

Thank you so much for the help you offer. When I searched online for any help out there and I’m happy to have found you. A little bit of light in a very dark tunnel! I am pleasantly surprised that such caring people and help is out there. This aid comes at a very timely time and I appreciate it very much! People at EDL really do care about helping people in need. There really is hope in the form of the people at EDL. Thank you so much and many blessing to all of you at EDL and to those who are in need!

Mr. James Pino and EDL have been a God-send. My husband and I have been through so much with my cancers and his Crohn’s disease. We are both on disability and try so hard to take care of each other. The medical bills just keep climbing with no end in sight. We were about at the end of our rope when I received the heart-felt letter from James Pino and EDL offering a financial hand up. I burst into tears with gratitude that there are people that really want to help. That letter gave me faith in humankind again. You are a God-send to so many people that have nowhere else to turn. May God bless you for all you do. I will never forget this unselfish act of kindness.

Hi, my name is Kim and my husband Clint has been suffering from stage 4 pancreatic cancer for the past 3 years. He never had any symptoms until the cancer spread to his liver. His doctor only gave him about 6 months to live but he is a fighter. He is fighting it for the third time now and has been on chemo on and off for three years. Chemo still works for him but he can no longer work due to the nerve damage and fatigue all of this chemo has caused. We had fallen behind in bills and during my search for funding I was so lucky to come across EDL. I want to thank EDL and James Pino for all that they do.

Thank you EDL so very much. You are a Godsend! I have two devastating nerve diseases and they have robbed me of using my legs to walk and a great amount of the use of my left arm and hand. With that said, EDL has provided me with additional financial help that I desperately needed. Now I will be able to accept and move in to a new apartment. I can’t thank them enough for the ‘hand up’ not a hand out that they have given me. Again, thank you from the deepest depths of my heart for this assistance. You truly are a life saver and I will never ever forget this.
