The Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) is a program that offers grandparents monetary assistance. This program offers one time help in the amount of $1,000. There are income requirements and other requirements too. The TANF program is designed to mainly help grandparents who have a child living with them, are at least age 45, and they do not have a lot of money.
