I am a nurse Care manager for Humana At Home. I reached out to EDL after receiving a referral from the Community Resource Dept. at Humana as a means of obtaining financial assistance for one of my members in hard times. We at Humana try to assess our member’s needs in order to help them lead better more healthy lifestyles. If a member is not as stressed financially, it helps their all over health. My member was behind on her power bill from recent hospitilizations. My member has multiple medical diagnosis and is on multiple medications. Her lights have already been cut off once due to inability to pay due to hard times. It is vital that she keeps electricity due to having to use an electric powered nebulizer breathing machine on a daily basis.I reached out to Mr. Pino at EDL and am pleased to say this wonderful organization offered their help. I am forever grateful for your kind deed and in the future will try to donate to this cause. it is nice to know that there are caring organizations like these that are willing to help those in great need.
