Coping with a disability.
Having a disability makes things harder. Â There are many adaptations the disabled individual must make to live everyday life. What some families forget is to make necessary changes and adapt too. Every thing is not the same and it takes effort from both sides to make disabled life work. When dealing with a disability here are a couple of things to keep in mind. Address the person first and not the disability, be patient, learn about your loved ones disability, never insist on helping only offer, and avoid drawing unwanted attention to any aiding device the disabled person needs. Again only a couple of things have been suggested. There are many others. EDL encourages you to find and implement useful information if needed too.
