Low Income Programs

All states provide bill assistance programs for low income individuals. Qualifying for those programs may be an issue for you though. EDL will will provide some information on a Texas based program. However you should see what kind of assistance programs your state provides. There will be some. In Texas there the following program may be of some assistance to you: Low income home energy assistance program (LIHEAP). This program mainly helps with energy bills. Please keep in mind this is a government run plan so there will be hoops to jump through to qualify and sign up. Another potentially helpful resource is the Texas Department of Housing and Community Affairs (TDHCA). You may have already been aware of these programs, but we hope this information helps you in some way or another.
