Why Do I Need This Application?
You do not need to purchase a formal application. However, formal applications will be processed before individuals who registered for free are processed in the applicable months. In addition, not only will you be considered for financial help for 12 months, but you will receive multiple resources too.
Low income applications may provide financial help in the months of January, April, July, October + February, May, August, and November.
*No matter what for the past seven years at least one different individual has received financial help from us each month and we will keep doing so in the future too.

Helping the Community
Recently, EDL has helped financial recipients with school attire, covid-19 related medications, therapy, moving expenses, and rent. Thanks to our clients and the support of others, we were able to help Charles get school clothes/supplies for his daughter this year.
EDL was also able to help Kim who is single disabled mother. She recently lost her husband to cancer. To add to that severe pain and hardship, Kim lost her youngest child to gun violence too. She has been struggling to get by and to pay her bills. Elderly or Disabled Living was able to provide her some relief for the month with financial support. Many individuals are suffering right now, and it is up to us to come together to help each other out.

The founder of EDL personally knows how far help can go. In the middle of law school, 2010, he suffered a Traumatic Brain Injury. He had to relearn how to do the most basic activities like walking or talking.
With self determination and help from therapy and the department of assistive and rehabilitative services (DARS), he graduated law school and created this nonprofit. Without help, he firmly believes things would have turned out much different. That is why EDL wants to help. We know firsthand how much of a difference it makes.
